Kija Kim Named "1994 Woman of the Year" by Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) Boston Chapter For Immediate Release
Cambridge, MA ... Ms. Kija Kim, President of Harvard Design & Mapping Company, Inc. (HDM) of Cambridge, Massachusetts has been named "1994 Woman of the Year" by the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), Boston Chapter. WTS is a national organization of professional women and men involved in transportation issues. WTS has over 2,700 members in 53 chapters around the country. The Boston chapter is the largest, with over 400 members. "WTS-Boston is pleased to present the '1994 Woman of the Year' award to Kija Kim", said Joan Lastovica, WTS-Boston Chapter President at the award dinner. "Kija's involvement in issues critical to transportation has really made a difference." "I am honored and thrilled to receive this prestigious award from the largest national group dedicated to furthering women in the transportation field", said Ms. Kim. Harvard Design & Mapping is an international leader in geographic Information Systems (GIS) services and data development. In the transportation area, HDM designed part of the National Highway Planning Systems for the federal Highway Administration, and is currently working on a detailed GIS analysis of the proposed High Speed Rail project from Boston to New York City.
