Cambridge, MA ... Ms. Kija Kim, President of Harvard Design & Mapping Co., Inc. (HDM) of Cambridge, MA, received the Women in Business Leadership Award from the New England Council yesterday. Ms. Kim's award and success represents a breakthrough for women entrepreneurship in the field of advanced technology. "I am very honored to be recognized in this way", said Ms. Kim. Ms. Kim, co-founder, president and CEO of HDM, established her geographic information systems (GIS) business in 1988. Throughout that time, she has been an active and recognized community leader. Ms. Kim has acted as an advisor on technology issues to the Clinton Administration and has met with the President, Vice President and various cabinet level officials to review various business, technology, finance, transportation and environmental issues.
