September 26, 2005 - HDM announces the introduction of its Damage Analysis Report. This tool is designed to help insurers assess property losses following a natural disaster. HDM's Damage Analysis Report is proving to be particularly valuable to insurers in responding to victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In the aftermath of a natural disaster, homeowners look to their insurers to quickly assess individual property damage. However, in the case of Katrina, access to many of the ravaged areas is restricted. Insurance adjusters are unable to begin the process easing financial burden of the homeowners- losses.

With HDM's Damage Analysis Report, insurers can begin the damage assessment process remotely by simply emailing their potentially affected insured property addresses to HDM. For each address, HDM's Damage Analysis Report provides pre- and post-event satellite images overlaid with FEMA's official damage analysis data (flooding, satuartion, wind damage) from remote sensing.
