GIS data is among the most valuable, as it displays visual business intelligence. Many enterprise GIS systems are linked to other systems, which could also be vulnerable to cyber attack. Securing this data is especially important for large and small utilities, health information systems, architects, police and fire departments, and financial institutions.

HDM is utilizing our capabilities to respond to these challenges. Working with international leaders in the implementation of IT security, HDM has identified tools and methods for ensuring the security of sensitive and classified GIS and related spatial data.

As GIS technology advisors to a number of U.S. federal government agencies including FEMA and DOT, we also provide strategic consulting to provide access to sensitive spatial data and limit that access to those agencies and first responders who need it.
